Beauty Brands To Support

As many of us may know, animal testing is a huge problem in the beauty industry that needs to be stopped immediately. The good news is that there are many brands out there that are both vegan and cruelty-free in which we should support!

Starting off with makeup brands, Indi and Ary would be a great brand to check out. Their website states, "Designed for the appreciative and discerning consumer, INDI & ARY, is a consciously curated, mindfully sourced Cruelty Free Beauty Boutique. We source local and international Cruelty Free High Performing Cosmetics that are also connected to your values: vegan, vegetarian, organic, natural, palm-oil free, fair trade, paraben-free, mineral based... your value beautified!" The two sisters who started this brand have always loved animals and never believed in animal testing, not just from an ethical viewpoint but also an educated stance.

Another makeup brand to check out is AU Naturale. According to their website, "Au Naturale cosmetics is both a brand & a cause, the line serving as physical evidence to the consumer that cleaner beauty is possible. The integrity of the line will never be compromised, as it is a pivotal piece in the company's greater political battle to demand stricter regulation of cosmetic products in the United States. In creating a line of vegan, organic, paraben free & ethical makeup, Au Naturale Cosmetics is opening consumer minds to the importance of transparency & generating demand for continued change. From day one, each ingredient has been scrutinized before being included into a formulation, only those who are ethically sound, factually healthy & naturally sourced making the final cut. And from day one, the company has been determined to provide consumers with much more than a line of healthy products." The founder of AU Naturale, Ashley Prange's goal was to change the beauty industry by using ethically sourced ingredients in her products that both benefit your skin and the environment.

To add on, another fantastic makeup brand to check out is Zao Organic Makeup. Their website states, "Developed by a passionate team dedicated to healthy lifestyles, we use pure ingredients and natural pigments, silky textures, subtle and stunning colors that will smitten you. Our makeup performs beautifully, lasting throughout your busy day, while it nourishes, renews and rejuvenates your skin. Zao is committed to offering products with flawless formulas with ingredients of 100% natural origin. Without petrochemical derivatives or synthetic preservatives, Zao products are healthy for your skin." This shows their products are carefully created to make your skin look good while feeling hydrated at the same time.

As for skincare, there are many up and coming skincare brands that were created with love and should definitely be supported! Many of these products can also be found at the boutique Urban Sanctuary in Half Moon Bay, CA.

Starting off with Mini Bee Beauty, a line of skincare started by a woman who does everything from making the products, packaging, labeling, selling on the internet and selling at the markets. Not only are her products hydrating, anti-aging, acne-treating, and exfoliating, but they also are great for people who struggle with Eczema.

Another great skincare line to check out is Little Seed Farm. According to the Urban Sanctuary website, "The Little Seed Farm Creates chemical-free, safe and nourishing skincare. Little Seed is a model and a force for positive change in our Global community. Providing animals with a humane environment. Using clean energy to produce products and run the farm completely on Solar Power. Using eco-friendly and recyclable packaging. We sell their Natural deodorants, Facial Moisturizers, Body Oils,Face Serums, Lip Balms, Skin Salves, Beard Oil and Soap!"

Lastly, a skincare line that is great for acne and other problematic skin conditions is Kona Skincare. All of the Kona Skincare products use natural ingredients without fragrences. Along with that, they have many anti-aging products, hydrating products, products for dark spots, and so much more!
